New Orleans, Louisiana, USA

I made it a goal of mine to travel NEW places from here on out. Don't get me wrong, there will still be many Disney/Universal/beach trips forever and always BUT I really want to experience new places. The world is huge and has sooo much to offer. So I started small and took a little trip with my sister to New Orleans. We are from Alabama so it was in driving distance for us. About like a trip to Disney actually, so a distance we've driven many times.

We stayed at an AMAZING hotel, Hotel Peter & Paul, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the time you step over the threshold it was beautiful, warm, and inviting.

It used to be an old Catholic schoolhouse, convent, church. They converted every bit of it into a boutique hotel, restaurant/bar, & little shop. There are original wooden floors which definitely makes it cozier, warm lighting, beautiful decor, and just amazing attention to detail.

We stayed in the schoolhouse, and our room was on the left of the stage. SO NEAT! You can find more pictures and videos of this hotel on my Instagram (instagram.com/eat.pray.vacay) in the New Orleans highlight.

We went to NOMA, where I was so excited to see up close and personal Monet, Picasso, and so many amazing pieces. JamNOLA was amazing, Haus of Hoodoo, Jackson Square, etc. We heard some live music, saw local art, and ate some amazing food!
