How to make travel accessible

Were we put on this earth so only see the exact spot we were put at? No. God made this HUGE, AMAZING world so that we may live and enjoy! Sure we have to work, pay bills, we have responsibilities but there is more to life than that. You shouldn't be living day to day, 9 to 5, routine routine routine. Don't get me wrong, I am a BIG ROUTINE GIRL here, okay? I love my lists, my schedules, my daily routine, because that all helps me to be productive and make mine and my family's lives a bit easier. BUT I like to go and do and experience, and I want that for my husband, our boys, and y'all too

It is our right as citizens of this earth to go, do, explore! If you have been following me for a while on Instagram, you've seen me mention that you don't have to empty your savings account to go to Disney, well that goes for any travel yall!
I am going to share some quick tips on making travel (to ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD) accessible!

1: cut out the unnecessaries! We all have our thing we spend $$ on. I used to get mani/pedis, lash extensions. loungefly backpacks and so much other stuff. But we decided traveling and experiencing was important to use, more so than stuff like that. Now that isn't to say you can't do those things too, but for us it wasn't as important. Maybe it just means getting your nails done less, or going out to dinner less and cooking at home (y'all know I'm all about that). Figure out where yall can cut back and do it.

2: get a skymiles credit card. IF you will pay it off when it's due! If you are responsible with $/CCs then I suggest getting a good sky miles CC. Like Capital 1 venture card. Pay all or as many of your bills as you can on it (not unnecessaries though, see #1) then pay it down/off. You have to pay those bills anyways so you might as well earn some sky miles too!

3: on the sky miles note, just get some sky miles accounts with various airlines! they are free! I actually just shared a post on IG about Starbucks & Delta collabing. Look at my posts for more info there!

4: USE A TRAVEL AGENT!! For example: you will not pay your TA for majority of their services. I ONLY charge for planning day-to-day itineraries, or booking non-commisionable things like AirBNB/VRBO or currently air travel (until I get my IATA). TAs are knowledgeable in all things travel and aware of deals before the general public. If you want to travel anyways why not use a generally FREE service to help you make the most of your trip!?

5: have a vacay savings account. put $ into this account when you can, then when your TA has a deal that comes up, you can pay the deposit/full trip! also MOST TRIPS CAN BE BOOKED WITH A DEPOSIT ONLY!, the rest to be paid later.

6: be open and adventurous! travel based on deals! whether it's Disney, Delta airlines, cruises etc. most have deals every now and then (#4 will know!) and book your vacay based on those dates for those deals! another reason #5 is good to have, so you'll be ready at the drop of a hat.

I hope these help a bit. Follow my IG for more tips and info!
xoxo
